Psalm 67

This is week has been fantastic. God has been revealing more and more. Therefore, I am joyed and thankful for His goodness.
I read this Psalm today and well...did you know you can pray to God for a blessing on yourself? It makes sense though...If we are to be like Jesus, we should definitely have the blessing and favor of the Father upon us. Jesus did and He walked in it. So why aren't we asking for His blessings and giving it to other people? I want to start as soon as possible.

Psalm 67

To the Chief Musician. On stringed instruments. A Psalm. A Song.

1 God be merciful to us and bless us,
And cause His face to shine upon us, Selah
2 That Your way may be known on earth,
Your salvation among all nations.

3 Let the peoples praise You, O God;
Let all the peoples praise You.
4 Oh, let the nations be glad and sing for joy!
For You shall judge the people righteously,
And govern the nations on earth. Selah

5 Let the peoples praise You, O God;
Let all the peoples praise You.
6 Then the earth shall yield her increase;
God, our own God, shall bless us.
7 God shall bless us,
And all the ends of the earth shall fear Him.

A few questions I asked myself recently,

Should our theology come from the person of Jesus?

Was it Jesus' purpose was to reveal the Father?

If so, did Jesus reveal the Father to an orphaned world?

Is Jesus the exact representation as the Father?

For me, its yes...yes...erm yes...uh yeah definitely!

A few thoughts,

I've been thinking about Jesus and what He did.It seems as though Jesus prayed and fasted in the kingdom/realm of the Father. The heavenly places. Thats where we should be. We generally pray and fast during/for crisis or trouble...but rarely if ever are we ever in. I don't know about you but I want to dwell in the kingdom of God here on this earth. I am not trying be mystical or hyperspiritual; but I want to do the things Jesus commanded us to do. no excuses.

I suppose that enough for today. I'm just thankful Im no longer sick.
So many more thoughts, yet so late...time for bed.

You are good

We've been doing this song at church for few months now.

Its lyrics are composed thankfully, praisefully, and worshipfully.

It literally helps me shape my day, proclaiming what God has done,

is doing, and will do in my life and the life of others because He is good.

You know where it says, (paraphrasing) "its your kindness is intended to lead us to repentance."

Maybe this is just me, but I feel like a lot of people don't like that word repentance. I know I

don't sometimes. But now that I have realize that it also means freedom, peace, and rest...

...I know that God is good and has favor upon me...not withholding from the corrections and

consequences that God must do in order show His unfailing love.

Bah. what do I know.

Wait! I know that God is good!

You are Good

I want to scream it out

From every mountain top

Your goodness knows no bounds

Your goodness never stops

Your mercy follows me

Your kindness fills my life

Your Love amazes me

I sing because You are good

And I dance because You are good

And I shout because You are good

You are good to me to me

Nothing and no one comes

Anywhere close to You

The earth and oceans deep

Only reflect this truth

And in my darkest night

You shine as bright as day

Your Love amazes me

With a cry of praise my heart will proclaim

You are good You are good

In the Sun or rain my life celebrates

You are good You are good

With a cry of praise my heart will proclaim

You are good You are good

In the Sun or rain my life celebrates

You are good You are good

I sing because You are good

And I dance because You are good

And I shout because You are good

You are good to me to me
